correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe those covers are the same ones that are available for the SS. We are talking about a special cover for our special cars here.

I bought the SLP optional car cover for my 35th Anniversary SS Camaro. It was very sheer and lightweight. It was more suited to be used for emergnecy purposes as if you were out and about and needed coverage against a sudden rainstorm or something. It was easily folded up and had it's own storage bag. It was marked with the logo and I was compelled to purchase it because of such. However, since long term or potential outdoor storage needed to be taken into consideration, I purchased a Covercraft cover that was much more durable and fabricated in a way to give better protection to the elements and all storage conditions. Just some food for thought......

You are correct. The covers listed on the options from the dealer are the same ones as the SS. Same cover, for all 5th gens, even have the same PN.

They are crappy, and are best for indoors only. If you are going to spend that money on a cover anyway, go with the Cal car cover. You won't regret it

I don't see the point though, nor have I ever stared at my vehicles at night time. That's just me, but I guess I learn something new every day. It's all good.
Well I knew I wouldn't get out of this thread without some kind of crap talk about my vehicles

Dude, I was tasteful in replying to you, but knew it would tap on your ego. So goes the car world when someone has more or less.

If you are ordering a car cover that is already $400 and $10-20 more is going to break you on it, then you have no business ordering it anyway! Like I said in my original post, it's all about personal taste! Now just chill out, ok? People were originally asking about car covers, and the quality

No ego here. No crap talk either. My response also was not tasteless. What you have or own is not my concern so let's not go there.

When I roginally posted I did not see the point of it, you responded, it's all good so let us both chill. Life is too short to attempt to match wit's for the sake of drama on a car board. Cheers.

When I first read thread, this is the first thing that came to mind.

Hopefully, you understand now why I responded the way I did. I guess it's just my Canadian sense of humour.

I like my maro, just as much as the next person, but with some peeps sometimes it just gets a bit rediculous. See link, I'm sure you'd agree some people need .

BTW - Just noticed your collection of 5thgens. Cool stuff. I get it now.

Sometimes intelligent beings don't communicate as well as we think we are and we go on the attack. I'm definately guilty of that sometimes.

But, now you know why? Too many skrewed up people in the World so I usually think the worst.

So, if someone posted they thought they needed a special ashtray I would have thought about this first. Nothing surprises me anymore about people.

These are amazing covers, I could also pour a bottle of water on it so you could see how well it just beads up and rolls off

Will be done before the weekend is over
