New 2010-2015 Digital LCD Cluster design
Hello All,
I was shown this new cluster design and told them the transformer on the screen and the transformer boot up it not what anyone wants. Also to hide the Camaro no other car display shows this. Just want some feedback. This will have front and rear camera views, very interesting design. Thanks in advance |

For me, its a no...
I like the factory display and I haven't really heard of anyone complaining of failures of their clusters so I am not sure how much of a market there is for this. The bumblebee/Camaro thing seems kinda gimmicky to me. Some people will love it, but I think the majority wouldn't be interested. This is just my opinion though, since you are asking for input. No intentional disrespect.

In terms of feedback on this specific one, one thing to keep in mind with the design is that the screen is still shaped with two lumps on top, so unless the dinlgital sections line up with those lumps it looks weird, the last image is a good example of a good layout. Overall though I'm also not a fan of digital dash either, would say, that if someone offered an upgrade for just the center LCD section, especially in the non color models I would pay some money for that, especially since that LCD screen is the biggest failure point.

Is this another version from Digital Octopus or is this another manufacturer?
I have been very interested in their existing cluster, but they have been so unresponsive to their existing customers concerning removal of the Camaro image, some HUD issues that occur regarding gear notification, and general lack of communication from the devs. Its a very nice piece and has some very cool features, as you used to need to get one of those add-on OBD boxes (forgot what its called) to add some of the things to the DIC that this thing displays, but I really want to see them communicate better...and get rid of the damned Camaro picture from the screen...at least as an option. I do have to give the programmers props for designing the unit to have near zero lag on the gauges. That was a major concern.

Hard pass for me. The stock cluster looks timeless. That one looks gimmicky and like it will be dated in no time flat.

Yes sir! One of the reasons I bought my Camaro. The dash gauges and arrangement of them and the console gauge cluster reminded me of the 1969 Camaro I had back when! Anything like what the OP posted just looks, well "cartoonish" to me and doesn't belong in a muscle car.
