Idk. It looks like in the picture that the strip is only on the hood. In that case I would either finish the strips over the roof and trunk or lose them completely. Just my opinion. Nice looking car though.

If they are the OEM GM stripes then I say leave them. I think they make our cars look badass.

They are on the hood and trunk. The front dealer placard is long gone...

Those are rally stripes, not RS stripes. No such thing as "RS" stripes. They appear to oem. Which would be on the hood and trunk only. Early 2010's were installed at the dealer. Later on for the 2010's, they were factory installed. Keep them. If removed, surrounding paint may appear faded.

Keep them. Plus Badbubba has a point, you do't know what the hood will look like if you remove them and may need paint correction at the least.

For real. My car has severe uncorrectable paint shadowing under my side stripes. The previous owner left the old stripes on way too long and they were dry and cracked. Obviously not taken care of. The cracks in the vinyl transferred to the paint making it look like the paint cracked. Also the paint under the stripes is a lot darker than the rest of the car. I tried buffing, clay, and wet sanding. Didn't help at all.

So now I have to keep side stripes on unless I get a respray. I got a nice quality set of matte black Avery stripes a couple years ago that were the perfect pattern match for the nasty old ones, so you cannot tell at all. But I really don't want side stripes anymore.

Imho, stripes add a touch of contrast to solid colors. Looks good to me. Plus, as others have stated, you could be opening a big can of worms, with more troubles than you bargained for.
