Being a lifelong Cardinals' fan it was still good to see and very good for baseball. Zobrist helped my second team (The Royals) to a trophy, too.

CLEVELAND ― The 2016 World Series Most Valuable Player Ben Zobrist was presented with a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro SS 50th Anniversary Edition, recognizing his strong performance on the field as the Chicago Cubs won their first World Series since 1908.

A media panel and first-ever online fan vote on MLB.com, the club sites and the MLB.com At Bat app helped determine the MVP Award winner.

“In this historic matchup, Zobrist’s performance on the field truly embodies the same ‘Never Give Up’ spirit that drives the Chevrolet team to innovate every day and that has made us the Most Awarded Automotive Brand two years in a row,” said Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president of Chevrolet Marketing. “We are proud to recognize the tremendous efforts of Zobrist with the MVP award and the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition convertible.”

The 50th Anniversary Edition honors the distinctive looks and performance that have always set the Camaro apart. It is offered on 2LT and 2SS coupe and convertible models, all with Nightfall Gray Metallic exteriors featuring a 50th Anniversary stripe package and badges, and a black top on convertibles.

• Body-color front splitter
• Orange brake calipers (front only on LT)
• Unique black leather interior with suede inserts and orange accent stitching

This was SUPER cool to see as a lifelong Cubs fan! My in-laws and my dad both congratulated me on owning Ben Zobrist's car. (Mine's not the F1FTY, but it's close enough.) 2016 has shaped up to be a pretty good year in my book.
