OH... another note, related to the Registration History page....

As mentioned in a previous reply, that is updated manually. Mostly because we do get 50-65% of our registrations through the regular mail! Those too, must (and are) accounted for on the history page. There is no way to automate that part of the history!

I also hope you find useful, especially for any new participants, the general update section of the website. I try to write updates every 2-3 weeks or as important information arrises. I know one up-coming update will reveal our t-shirt design. That will happen by the end of May.

Please keep checking in on us!
THANKS!
barry

See Transformer 3 movie Premier on Friday, July 1

As part of the Camaro Superfest 2011 activities on Friday, July 1, you can see Transformer 3 in 3-D at the local Emagine theater. We'll be limited to the first 200 or so registered for the Superfest so it's time to register at the site below:

http://www.camarosuperfest.com/

Registration numbers are updated manually (and include mail-in respondents) so don't get hung-up on the number shown registered-to-date. It's a great event and we look forward to seeing our old friends and lots of new ones!!

See you at Camaro Superfest 2011

Here's another update on CAMARO SUPERFEST!! As you can see, our registrations are coming in and we hope YOU will register very soon!
With gas prices rising, many wonder if they can attend events like CAMARO SUPERFEST. Well, for this summer, our event is FREE or NEAR-FREE depending on if you want to be a judged entry or a dirvers class (display only) entry. We hope that helps you off-set your expenses in attending our event!
BIG news on extra displays for this years event! The Michigan State Police will be in attandance with their 3rd gen Mi Police B4C Camaro! Great to have them here at our event and on display!
Another great display and one very close to our event and us, will be the 1974 Type LT-Z28 of Doug Warren. This display is tied to our charity, the Ronald McDonald House of Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids. Doug was WMCC (Western MI Camaro Club) President and founder and passed away just before Christmas. In his memory, we dedicate this display of his Camaro and our chosen chairty in his honor and memory. Many THANKS to the WMCC membership for arranging to bring Doug’s prized Camaro for display at our event.
We see that the Poker Run registrations are going slowly... if you went last year, you know what a great time it is/was!! For those not sure, a Poker Run is a road rally where you get a playing card at each check point. The car/person with the best poker hand at the end of the run, will win a fabulous prize! And we'll have many prizes for many winners! Then there is the included dinner and hopefully a guest speaker! What a great way to finish a great day at CAMARO SUPERFEST!
Lastly, we've started work on our award and t-shirt designs for this years event. We don't have anything yet to show you, but we can tell you that we will be continuing our recent program of colored shirts! This years color?... why Chevy Orange! (of course) We'll post the designs as soon as we approve them.
Once again... we still have room for more event sponsors!! If you have a business that can use some great advertising, check out the sponsorship page on our website and then give us a call!
Let's keep those registrations coming in!! We hope to top 400 Camaros this year!
Thanks and we'll "talk" again soon.

GOOD DAY!!!
Have we got GREAT new news for you, regarding CAMARO SUPERFEST!!!
Make sure your plans include our Friday MEET-GREET-DINNER being held at the Eagle Crest Golf Club, right next to our HQ hotel, the Marriott in Ypsilanti! This casual event will be on Friday evening from 6pm til ??? Dinner is on your own and we’ll post the Golf Club menu on our website very soon. (all dinners are reasonably priced at $8-12) You’ll want to include this activity in your weekend plans, because we have secured as a guest speaker, AL OPPENHEISER, Chief Vehicle Engineer for the Camaro program!! Al is a great speaker, car guy and a super Camaro fan, so we’re sure his presentation will be great. We’re sure he’ll answer some of your questions too, if he can without giving away any GM trade secrets!
We’re still working on a guest speaker for the dinner after the Poker Run on Saturday evening.

Our next big news is that we’ve added another event sponsor! Please welcome PFADT RACE ENGINEERING from Utah to the Camaro Superfest family! They come on board as a BRONZE Sponsor, which is great! Thanks for your support PFADT!! Their weblink is on the home page.

When you attend CAMARO SUPERFEST, you know you are helping others through our yearly charity donations that are achieved through your donations. These include 50-50 raffles, spectator donations and of course, our SILENT AUCTIONS! We would be honored to have you bring an item for the Silent Auction and donate it to our charity efforts. It does not have to be automotive related! Just bring it with you and drop it off at Event HQ on Saturday morning. THANKS!

PETS! I love ‘em, you love ‘em, but …. Camaro Superfest is not the best place for them. It has been a city rule that we have been at best, skating by on. Even residents are not allowed to bring pets into the park while Camaro Superfest is going on, or any other public event. I’m sorry to say, but we really need to enforce this rule, starting this year, as we do not want to get on the city’s “bad side”. And it is a rule, we all must follow the rules. PLEASE… do not bring your pets to our event. Sorry.

Let’s keep those registrations coming in!! While we have registration available at the gate all weekend long, you really should pre-register for our extra events – the Friday Tours/Movie and the Poker Run! There are limits as to how many can participate in these activities, and we just can’t be sure if spots will still be available “at the gate/door” when Camaro Superfest is finally here. If you have already registered and want to ADD these activities (or purchase that great event t-shirt in advance) just email me for the best way to do that.

Speaking of event t-shirts… as previously mentioned, our shirt color will be Chevy-Hugger Orange! Here is a first look at the proposed artwork –

[/IMG]

This is NOT final, tweaks must be made, but it’s a pretty good representation of the FRONT of our shirts AND what the awards will look like!
Gotta run – more to do to get ready for your arrival at CAMARO SUPERFEST!!
Later…
Barry Hensel,
CSF Chairman

NEWS UPDATE-
WOW... more great new news concerning our overall activities! As just announced below, we have a great guest speaker for the Friday Meet-Greet-Dinner in Camaro Chief Engineer Al Oppenheiser! Well, we now have a 1-2 punch as for Saturday night at the Poker Run, our guest speaker will be Tom Peters, Director of Design and Chief exterior designer of the Camaro 5th gen. WOW... these will be great activities to attend, so make sure you sign-up for the Poker Run and simply attend the Meet-Greet-Dinner
Our longtime great friend and Camaro parts dealer Clarence Freeman will again be vending at CSF. This is his 10+ year with us and one of his "must attend" events. We hope CSF is also one of you must-attend events too! While Clerance brings LOTS of parts, if there is something special you mjay want/need, please feel free to call him at his shop- 317-328-8360
As you can see, we're posting registration updates just about once a week. Our numbers are not as high as we thought they would be at this time, especially considering our great 20th annual event and special pricing (as in FREE!) for this year. We do know we get quite a few "at the door" registrations and that's great too, but let me encourage you to pre-register, get a discount on those great event t-shirts and reserve your place for our Friday Tours/Movie and Saturday Poker Run. We just don't know if these (tours) will be available "at the door". Online registration, even for the FREE drivers class is quick and painless! Just go to our registration page... now!
Speaking of registrations... as is CSF tradition and procedure, our Acceptance Letter, which has your registration number on it, plus all the latest information, reminders, event schedule and directions, will start to go out by the end of May. We're going to try emailing to those that have provided us an email address, to others we'll send in the regular mail.
WOW, we're only 6 weeks away from CAMARO SUPERFEST... are you going?
See you there!
Barry Hensel, CSF Chairman

GOOD DAY to you all!!
CAMARO SUPERFEST news just keeps getting better and better!! Of course!! We're pleased to announce two more great additions to our event!
First... adding to the Friday MEET-GREET-DINNER line-up will be Scott Settlemire, the "F-Bodfather" himself! And he'll be bringing a special Camaro with him... not sure which one that is yet, but you know Scott always comes through!
Second... how about a parts discount at NPD? YES, those (and only those) attending the Friday Tours-Movie will have the chance to get 10% off of any Camaro parts, bought during our visit at National Parts Depot. The discount is good for only during that visit! THANKS NPD for enhancing our event!
WOW, we're just under the 100 mark in registrations! And we've added more First Registered from their state registrations. CSF now has people attending from 10 states and Canada! Very cool! Our Camaro count is also rising... but we're still missing 8 model years from 4 generations. Years 1974, 1975, 1982, 1983, 1987, 1990, 1993 and 2002 are "missing in action". CSF has been proud to have at least one Camaro from every year of production before and we hope YOU will help us accomplish that again!
Lastly, don't know if you saw the pictures of Riverside Park from last week, either on TV or on the news (wxyz) website... YIKES, it should be renamed RIVER Park! With all that massive rain amount, at least 60% or more of the park was flooded. The river was over the banks and all the way up to the bottom of the pavilion, where we have Sunday Service! The GOOD news... this week is looking very dry and that should help the park conditions. We'll keep tabs on the park and it's condition. We're confident we'll be just fine, but you can help - please pray for good weather!
Nice to talk to you again... CSF is only ONE month away!! See you very soon!
