Snow tire size help - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Since my LS has 245/55r18 tires, I can only find one winter tire in that size which is a GY Winterforce. these are quite expensive and don't have the best recommendations from what I've been told.

Other options I have looked at:
235/55r18 Artic Claw - These are about .4 smaller diameter. I've ran this brand before though on a different vehicle and they were awesome.
235/60r18 - These are .5 larger diameter. A couple people recommended this tire brand and they are the cheapest option I have found.
225/60r18 (various brands) - This is almost exactly the stock height, but I worry about the tire being much more narrow than stock.

Any ideas or recommendations? The snow is starting to fly and I need to buy something soon.

235/60/18s is what I had when I used to live in Alaska (last winter). I have them on the heritage 18" wheels. I had Hankook IPikes I think its what its called.

get yourself ready with a lot of fun in empty lots! HEHEHE!

235/60R18 is what I would recommend.

Thanks guys! I figured 225 was a bit too narrow. I found some 235/60r18 that seem to have a good tread / siping pattern and fit my budget. I was just worried about if a larger diameter tire like this would rub.

I am looking at 235/60R18 as well. Would it work with 2015 Camaro 1LT v6 ?
