Question Winter Tires?

So, I'm looking to get winter tires for my '10 SS/RS. Just got it a few months ago, loving it so far. Went to a few tire places this weekend to get quotes on winter tires. Only a couple had them in stock / on order. I found the following:

Bridgestone DMV1 (Discount Tire) = $986.20 installed

Nitto NT90W (Kan Rock Tire) = $1,123.56 installed

Tech spoke highly of Nitto, but I've never heard of them before? Looking to get them fairly soon, since it's been lightly snowing in some places around here (Michigan). Was wondering what would be the best choice in this instant? Any feedback would be highly appreciated. Thanks guys!

I got the Nittos for 883 plus 78 to install. Based on the reviews it was the best choice for me.
