Koni Yellow Rear Shocks
Hey folks !
has anyone installed the 8241 1315Sport rear shocks yet -- i have a set here everything looks good except the shaft diameter is a little thicker then the oem --bigger is better lol - however the shaft doesn't fit the upper rear mount? if anyone has installed them yet did you just drill out the mount ? |

in case anyone does a search for this one day - the answer from koni was to drill the mounts to 12mm

Good to know because these may be in my future.
Koni has conflicting info on their website I think. One place says comfort is higher than OEM. Another place on the website says they're damping range is a fair bit higher than OEM. I realize it probably depends on how far you adjust the dampening knob but... Do the Konis ride smoother than OEM? Or, do they ride like super performance stiff? |

I had Koni yellows on my 2010 Camaro. It was lowered with Eibach springs. The ride was perfect and nice. I kept them on the softest setting. Felt like a good firm stock setting to me. After 2 years of running them it seemed like any pothole I hit was teeth jarring. From then on, I desperately tried to avoid potholes. Not sure why all of a sudden the change in shock performance.
