Enjoy your new purchase! I think I am going to do the same thing and cancel my ZL1 order. The QC hold has put a damper on the experience for me and I may just wait until I know that they have the problems worked out. Not sure what I'll get in the meantime. I've owned lots of Corvettes and they are great rides

I really hate to hear that ZL1 lovers are so impatient that they can't for a while longer...I mean they just started production in late Jan. and have had four plant shut downs totaling about a month.....so in reality they have only been producing for less than a month....Guys if you really wanted this ride in the first place you would not even be looking for anything else.
I have not even cosidered another vehicle.....am I impatient....yes...but
i still want my car and will wait it out....I have had three TPW rescheduled
and have not even been built, was told two months when I ordered....well it has been two months and no car....but I can wait because this is the only car I really want..

Sooooo True, And there are quite a few members on the home stretch that are close to jumping ship with cars already built. I for one can't do it because once they hit, I'd be kicking myself.. With the recent posts by FBod it gave me more patience and assurance. We will get our car's soon

It's not really the QC hold that has put a damper on your experience.....It's all the rumors and negativity on this forum
that's doing that...because without this forum you would never
know there was a delay...and I really don't think there is much of a delay
if any at all.
This is all standard procedure...releasing the car now would
kinda be like going to the hospital to get half of a operation...

I for one want my 60,000 $ car to be right when I get it....and I know it will...

I never said I was getting impatient. I said the problems were putting a damper on the experience and I am concerned about potential problems with the new model. I had concerns before placing the order but thought I would give it a shot with my fingers crossed - so this is making me second guess my original decision. And to be honest, I want to know what the issue is. If it's a problem with a supplier, that is not as big a deal to me as an engineering issue. I have no doubts that this will be a great car and I am sure I will own one - it just may be next year rather than this year.

Congrats grand sports are awesome and the top comes off. That is the one complaint my wife has about our z06. I almost bought a grand sport and boosted it.

You know gm took a stance to be mums the word on these issues and they think it is the right one but it was the wrong one to keep me happy.

Sorry if i offended you, didn't mean it in a negative way...just saying without this forum there would be no " second guessing " because no one would know about a problem weather there is one or not.....it's all the speculation that causes 2nd guessing for anyone on here.

Trust Gm and Fbod they said it would be worth the wait...and i know it will

People would still know because of the media. In fact it would be worse, because there would be no forum to disspell the incorrect information from the media sources...

Now that's funny. LOL.

We may be able to contradict some of the rumors but I think we create a lot more than we settle!

Maybe true but without this forum I would have never known the existence of the Zl1 and I definitely would not have a low vin! The dealers were clueless on 10-29-11, I had to show them c5 on my phone. This forum has been great, its up to you to let the negativity get to you or not.
