Blah.... a C7 much much more something to look at.
Vipers were Cool when they were but now I'd be running to the guy with that hot new stingray or ZO6 at the car show. They just scream for attention. My head practically breaks every time I see one drive by me on the road. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk |

I recommend a Z06-stingray or used ZR1-C6. Great cars awesome performance out the box and can be driven daily-well at least the Z06 can.

I remember reading a great quote ...
"Chevrolet built a supercar anyone could drive, and Dodge built a supercar no one could." |

Looks are very subjective. While yes, I do think the C7Z is a more aesthetically pleasing car to look at, the Viper has a very attractive look but for a different reason.
Like most cars, with a Viper you either 'get it' or you don't. Here's a couple of C7Zs I got some shots of recently:

Fact is neither one of those cars would destroy in any category compared to the Viper. 1/2 mile, 1 mile, any road course, What category were you talking about? If its the category for a smooth ride and traffic observing, then the OP has the perfect car already. If the OP wants a Viper, i would highly recommend getting one.

Love the look of the new Z06, but in my opinion the Viper looks even better, but of course looks are subjective. One thing that I really think is awesome is the fact they got 640hp without a blower. Very impressive piece of machinery!

vipers are not my deal I hate the sound of them but they are a strong perfromer for sure. it can't be denied. they are capable of 130mph traps stock. my .02 is always buy the car you like. when I had my z06 I mean alot of closet viper guys in vett's and never understood it as these car are so similar in price. I looked at both bought the one I liked I would have never settled for one over the other. if you like the viper make it happen. the new interior is miles about the old crap they had. they are fast, handle good, look good. they are not practical in any way though. before the 15k price drop I though they were kind of a joke just due to the high cost and similar perfromance to other things but now that they fixed the price and the ADM some dealer are getting for the helcat it makes the car look great. I mean there are guys paying 75-80k for helcats and a viper is just more car if you can live with the downsides of a 2 seater. I can't live a with a 2 seater right now. If I could I owuld buy a new z06 in 2 seconds and not look back ha ha.

I had a great experience tracking with a Viper TA. Was it the better car, yes. However, I was able to hang with it for a couple of laps.
I also came away from that experience even more impressed with my car (nearly stock at the time) which costs half the price of a Viper TA. my 2 cents. |

Stock vs stock, a TA will run away and hide from our cars with equal drivers in the cockpits.

The GTR got the Viper on the launch (AWD) and on the shifts but the Viper was reeling him in at the end. That is a Gen IV Viper, stock is 600 HP. Gen Vs are 640. Were both cars dyno'd? Video proves nothing IMO but was entertaining.
