I fail to see how you can chalk up the win to IRS vs SRA when there are many IRS cars above and below the gt500. So you're telling me a stock challenger beat a Ferrari California, a vantage, a 'vette, and multiple cts-v's for whatever reason, but it beat the gt500 specifically because it has a SRA. . . that makes sense.

yeah but it had suspention work and many other mods done to it. Evan Smith was the driver by the way. Here is a vid of it.

Nope The SRT8 was bone stock AUTOMATIC car and the GT500 had Eibach springs, cold air kit, different front splitter, different rear wing, exhaust, different tires and some other stuff that I cant remember. I have videos of both of them by the way. I didnt get anything from the list I posted either. Just a list to show times. Here is a kind of stupid vid of the Challenger. Tell me its not stock...........................

It was just an example. No big deal. Some of the drivers were not pro drivers by any means. BUT the guy in the GT500 is and the guy in the Challenger is. Once again, just an example.

It's very competitive among the big 3 even though a lot of them are neighbors, best friends and even family members...I know because my best friend as well as my former college projects' partners worked for Ford when I was at GM. We always give each other a hard time but the rhetoric never escalated to the level Farley is spouting lately. This Farley character is really beyond the norm. I think his hates stemmed from the fact that the Camaro has been kicking his ass the last few years making his marketing job a bit harder.

With all the positive press for Ford coming from their press release about the 2013 gt500 unless they knew with absolute certainty they would win, meaning they had an enormous advantage which is doubtful, it would not be a good idea for them to accept. GM has a lot less to lose in that proposal. The momentum is in Ford's court right now whether it be justified or not, why would they risk losing that?

Zl1 is on track, ford is boasting a product that isnt out, and hasnt proven itself yet, and mopar once again is behind the ball, and the dodge guys here seem to be butt hurt about it..just like old times.

Why would I be butt hurt because my car is faster than the SS and the 5.0 and the BOSS and close (only 2 tenths off) to the GT500??? In stock trim of course. And can drive in comfort without getting a cramp in my legs after 20 miles. Also I have a back seat you can use and get this, I have a trunk too....... And damn, my car looks Goooooooood. All in fun man.

congrats. Mine does too! I would certainly hope so, especially with the price tag and slightly bigger motor.

Anyways, not dogging them. I like the looks and think its a sick car..i think everyones just a little too tense in here. besides- dodge and chevy has there models pretty much rolling..ford doesnt yet..so until then, theyre blowing hot air.

Im 6'1 and i fit fine, my daughter and her car seat love the back, and my bulky, pain in the ass stroller loves squeezing in the trunk. Anyways..i have a soft spot for mopar as well..as for ford, i cant really say the same thing. When i see a chally on the road- i think hey cool- when i see a stang i think- i wonder if this guys going to be a douche. I hope the gt500 competes like they say..will be good for both brands.
