Heated seat turns on then off - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Well today I took the camaro out n went to turn the heated seat on and the light went on but then it shuts off a minute or two later,,,,,what could be the problem?

The seat heaters are powered through a relay that kicks out if there is to much draw to prevent a fire, etc. Sounds like a failure with the heating element and you are seeing the relay kick out.

Well that should be covered under warrantee right? Will they check if I have a tune when they look at that?

They have no reason to check for a tune since it's not powertrain related. It should be covered no problem.

The heating elements are in the seats. One on the bottom and one on the back of each front seat.
