Camming, and AZ smog requirements, anyone?

So, 2010 and some 2011 Camaro owners are surely coming due for smog. My question is, has anyone smogged with an aggressive cam and passed in AZ? If so, what county?
Are there any tuning tricks to get it to pass more easily?
I'm looking to do a build that involves an aggressive street cam. I don't have to worry about smog for another 5 years, but just curious if Pima county has strict smog laws or not.

Not sure about Phoenix, but in Tucson, they only run pre-obdII(95 and older) cars on a sniffer. OBDII cars only require a scan to make sure they aren't throwing codes and a check of the gas cap.

What he said. Just all ready states set and no codes. Then they do the gas cap. If you have a tuner with 1/2 a brain then no issues at all passing anything that can actually idle.

Just did emissions/registrations 10 minutes ago. In and out of emissions place in less than 5 minutes. Went home and registered online, done. Super simple.

They may check to see if you have cats. I went through last month and after I passed everything the tester wheeled a long mirror on wheels under my car to check.
Lucky for me I have cats, but my car sounds healthy at idle.

They really mirrored your car? I went yesterday and did mine and I was totally expecting them to do something stupid like that since its very obvious the cars not stock. They passed me. What a waste of money.

Yep, they have this long narrow mirror on tiny little wheels. I agree, a waste of time and money.

I love living where I don't have to get an inspection. Catless ftw

Where in Tucson do you live? I thought all of Tucson was Pima County, and all of Pima county requires a SMOG inspection?
Or are you just saying that they don't put the sniffer up the tailpipe?

If he's actually in Sierra Vista or lives/works in Green Valley/Sahuarita, I don't think they require any emissions testing.

I went through last month and the emissions zombie just plugged the scanner in and did the gas cap check. Complete waste of time and money.
