ROTO FAB VS COLD AIR INDUCTIONS ELITE

...I KNOW I KNOW
use the search function lol

tried that and it was only ss threads .......so what a do u guys think which is best ?

seems the rotofab with dry is what more and more people are grabbing.

So other than the elite carbon series cold air inductions looking badass ( get what you pay for ) ... which is the BEST? car is basically stock just have borla x with secondary cat delete and corsa axle back.

I like the CAI because it is a closed box style. However this car cools soo efficiently that the open element RF style doesn't really heat up at all. So it really is a toss up. The only thing I think the RF system has over CAI is that the huge filter looks cooler when the hood is open and you'll hear more of the whistle at WOT. Otherwise you can't go wrong with either choice.

The Rotofab seals against the hood when it's closed. They do this to try and get more volume of air. That being said, I'm not seeing any gains at the track with the Rotofab.

There is no quantifiable best here for a CAI. Whatever you think looks better or maybe sounds better is the key. Until you get into the much larger CAI like the one from Vengence, which requires a tune, there is zero tangible difference to speak of.

Even if it gave you an extra 5-10 HP that would not have any significant effect on quarter mile times on a car at this weight and power level.

It doesn't matter.. I think without a tune you'll see negligible differences between the two. So whatever looks cooler when you pop your hood, do that one.

This: ^^^^^

Do it for looks and a little more SC whine. Still worth it. The tune can give you another 5-10 with or without the CAI.

But why possibly give up your motor warranty for that?

I think the CAI is aesthetically not pleasing. Enclose cold air inductions look retarded. The Roto-Fab is menacing & I love the blue dry filter. My favorite cold air is the $700 K&N carbon fiber.
