New steering wheel ss emblem
I have a black 1ss and I do not care for the way the red and black look looks. Also there are so many black and red Canaria out there. I have everything I need to remove all the red from the car except the ss on the bottom of the steering wheel. I’ve searched for hours on end looking for one and the best I can find is a lt1 or a zl1, which I don’t own. I’ve also found carbon fiber ones but they don’t have the emblem on them. If anyone knows where to find one in any color, preferably black, grey, or white please let me know. I’m also interested in ideas to make the current one black if anyone has found something better than just plasti dipping it.

Is the badge on the steering wheel even replaceable? Easily? I'd love to replace my SS one with the Hot Wheels one!

Yes it is easily replaceable.
I would contact the guys at Wildhammer https://wildhammermotorsports.com/ They do a lot of custom work on steering wheels and they have everything. But if you want to keep it saying "SS" then you'll probably have to modify it. Found this on ebay (but it looks pretty tacky to me): https://www.ebay.com/itm/Camaro-2016....c100005.m1851 If you have fine dexterity, you could probably use some matte black paint and a tiny brush and just paint over it. |

I've never compared the wheels in person but the base Camaro has a blank black cover vs the ss logo. Wheel looks the same in the online picks, if so just make a trip to the Chevy parts department
If your still wanting the SS logo but different color ... I would say paint it

I personally like the SS emblem. I think you should keep it there.

Well painting with a brush or paint marker was my last option.
I will contact them when I get home and see what they can do. Also I had an idea last night that if I can get a blank one I could put one of the rear emblems in black on a blank one if I can get it to fit. Thanks for the help guys. |

Bigham39: I kinda agree with you. I de-badged my exterior, and have also thought of getting a plain black bottom of the steering wheel cover. It has the red “SS” on the seats, which is enough for me.
Any luck on getting the plain black piece from Chevrolet parts? Thanks.

18LT: Can you send me the seller info? I saw a bunch of chrome ones and carbon fiber, but no plain flat black.
Thanks!
