9/11 Never Forget

Please everyone take a moment remember 9/11 this friday, and never forget those who were lost and everyone who gave so much on that day. Thank you to all the brave service men and women over seas, The law enforcement offiials, the EMT's and all the firefighters, god bless the familes of those who lost someone on that fateful day 8 years ago.

On a personal note, God bless my 343 Brothers out there who gave the ultimate sacrifice and passed away in the Line of Duty, you are not forgotten!!

Its one of those days that people will remember the rest of their lives, where they knew exactly where they were and what they were doing when it happened.

I thought it would be appropriate to share some photo's that I took inside the Pentagon of the 9/11 memorial. The memorial is located at the exact impact point of the plane that hit. Unfortunately this memorial is not open to the public.

I got chills reading all those names... a lot of firefighters and police officers and Port Authority police, as well as many civilians from Long Island, NY, where I live were killed on that tragic day........

We have streets in many of our local towns that were re-named after the brave heroes that perished on that fateful day....

A father and son from Lindenhurst were members of the FDNY and BOTH perished that day...a street down the block from where I live is renamed "ANGELINI AVENUE".........

There are so many local stories of loss here in NY...our skyline was forever changed on that terrible day...

We all loved the beautiful sight of those glorious TWIN TOWERS...I remember when they were being built and after they were done...

They were MAJESTIC and SPECTACULAR....now there is an empty spot on the horizon where every time any New Yorker who travels to the city sees a spot where our lives were forever changed....

Let us NEVER FORGET.........I live close enough to NYC that I could smell the burning ashes of those towers for DAYS afterward...I had nightmares for years that planes were crashing into my house.............

My husband used to go to meetings in those buildings quite frequently and I remember the horror and fear of watching the event LIVE on TV and not being able to reach him, as all phone and cell phone service was gone....thankfully he was at his regular office and ran to the LIRR all the way from Brooklyn across the bridge on foot to catch the train back home..........

Sorry for such a long post, folks, just wanted to give people in other parts of the country my experience of that day...

MAY GOD BLESS ALL WHO SERVE AND PROTECT THIS COUNTRY...

Same for all the victims :(

Every single 9/11 until the end of times, we're all americans

Remember why "you" and "we" fight in Afghanistan and Iraq

30 french soldiers lost their lives in Afghanistan. 2 of them this week side by side with their fellow english, german, american, polish, italian ... soldiers.

(Don't see here anything political here, just a point about we guys from the whole world are with you, feel like you do)
