Change vin in ECM V6-V8 swap SMOG?

Good morning all,

New to the forum. Just purchased a 2013 Camaro LS V6 with a LS3 V8 engine swap. Everything works and runs. However, when trying to get a smog cert. The tech said vins do not match. How can I input the chassis vin to v8 ecm? Will I have problems if vin is changed in the v8 donor ecm?

Any positive feedback or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

That should have been done when the swap was done. IT needs programmed, and
a tuner won't do it. It needs sent to be flashed with the correct VIN. That means a
trip to the dealer, or sending it out to be flashed with the VIN on the dashboard.
