Newbie vert concern pics inside

I drove by the local dealer which had a 2012 vert i noticed it didnt have the huge gap mine had. I havnt noticed any water in my car but since I havnt had my car 2 weeks I need to know if I need to make bee line back to the dealer about the issue ... side note ~my car has 8000 miles and was garage kept

The pic of white car is the 2012 and the black car is mine .

The bottom two pictures show the dreaded 5th bow issue.

I would for sure take it back to the dealership. This ia a well documented issue which they should have found / addressed before they sold it so I would insist they cover the repair. I would suggest to pull the bottom cover in the trunk and check for water around the battery.

I think I'd take it right back to where you got it from and tell them you changed your mind.......isn't there a short period that you can do that?

This is a well-known issue with Chevy and they were fixing them on recall I do believe........not sure though.

If it’s a Chevy dealer good luck. GM has zero customer service anymore.

also, you may want to have the water management bag changed out to the newer version when the repair is being done.

Tell the MotherF**king dealer that issue is NOT COSMETIC. Damn! What it really boils down to is that they know it's not as easy fix and labor intensive to do properly. They freaking knew it when they had the car. Same as my dealership at the time. I also got the runaround for a while, but I kept at it telling them to look it up in their database or online and they will see it is an issue with 2011 and 2012 Convertible Camaros. Even without an extended warranty, you DO have the 90 day lemon law. They MUST fix it or you RETURN IT! Cosmetic my ass! I'm surprised you don't have water on the rear carpet. Check it after giving the car a good wash down with a hose. Give it a couple hours and check that carpet. On mine, they had to replace the Water Management Bag AND replace the 5th bow. All good now and I love my car.
