First Ticket with your new camaro?

Hey whats up people? I just thought i would post a thread about how and what your first ticket was with your brand new camaro. I got a stupid Careless Driving ticket the other week. Alls i did was push on the pedal and slow down fast as hell. I mean i know im not the only one who does this....i think lol. it was at the mall by me and there just happened to be a cop who saw/heard me when i did this. i kid you not i did this in a span of only 500 feet. he was dying to give me a speeding ticket but he knew he couldnt because he didn't have a radar gun on me. haha! honestly it was a stupid ticket and i have to go to court this week which sucks but i knew this was going to happen sooner or later...haha

Yah, I got one about a month after I got my car. The cop was good about it, he wrote me for 60 in a 55, had me clocked @ 74 and I was slowing down. Took a friend for a "drive" down a nice and smooth black top country road where you never see any one and had just run through 4th gear and backed off and was down to about 80 when I noticed 2 cars coming. (That is why I backed out of it, you never know what the other car is going to do.) Ant way, as the cars go by, the second was a county boy and he did a u-turn with the lights on. I never piss a cop off, not a good thing to do because if you do, you will lose!! So, I pulled over and let him catch up. After some talking, he let me off with the 60 in a 55 and told me to watch my speeds. I watch myself a little more and us my cruze control a lot more!!!

Never plead guilty. Go to court and plead not guilty with an explanation. Say it's a new car, you got confused and hit gas first instead of brakes. In Ct & NY tickets are almost always reduced or dismissed. Take a bath, wear a suit- Or at least don't wear your Yankee cap backwards- Sorry, couldn't help it.
Good luck.

Got a speeding ticket in my truck a month after I got it, went to the judge and explained it was new and I had put on larger wheels/tires so my speedo was off. He reduced it to a paperwork fee of $45.00 and no points.

I've only gotten pulled over 4 times...all in a span of 2 weeks. What was I doing you ask? Driving home from work at 2am (bar closing time). just pulled me over to see if I was drunk, didn't ask for lisence or registration or anything. Pretty lame if you ask me, I thought they had to have a reason to pull u over...not just incase u had been drinking

Wow, how'd you manage that? I thought anything over 20 mph over the limit in VA you'd be in cuffs.

I actually pretty proud that I've driven my car over 11k miles now and I've only gotten 1 ticket (stupid 54 in a 45 - was actually doing 62).

I got pulled over twice within 2 days of each other. First guy got me doing 81 in a 65. Asked me how much the car cost and then let me off with a warning.

The second time was at night and I was behind a very slow person and then someone was behind me. When the slow person turned off I floored it right up to the speed limit of 50 and let off. Next thing I know the car behind me has red and blue lights on top. He was in a challenger, I think he was jealous. He gave me a warning also asking why I hit it like I did, I just said I was stupidly going up to the speed limit as fast as possible. He never knew if I went over or not cause he was so slow at catching up

If they were forced to come up with a reason they could just say some b.s. like you hit a line or swerved which would justify them pulling you over on suspected drunken driving. I worked as a bartender for a few years and got pulled over a few times for the same thing.

Good luck.
also, by going to court and pleading not guilty, you might get lucky and the officer who issued you the citation may not show up; thus, ticket dismissed.

Yep - I've been pulled over just from moving inside the lines because I was searching for something. Never hit a line, but going back and forth was enough. They also could say pretty much anything, your brake light is out even though it isn't, if they want you pulled over they will figure out a way. Honestly I don't mind it, sometimes they may catch some bad people doing this, including drunks.

The big thing in Phoenix to get pulled over for late at night is making an illegal turn.

I've plead guilty 5 times. 5th time was by a judge who refused to give PBJ to anyone. So I went 5 tickets before getting a point on my license just by pleading guilty every time.

Granted my tickets were not ever really severe, 21 over was the worst, 76 in a 55

74 in a 65 was the one I got the point on
