Could you explain this image a little more? I understand it's a relay, but I don't see exactly what you did to it.

Thats just a quick schematic I threw together showing how you could do this same thing using a relay instead of diodes, so the DRLs would be on whenever they normally turn on (during the day), and would also turn on whenever the parking lights were on (at night).
Cheaper and easier (IMO) to use the diodes as in my write-up on the first page, but this way should work well too.

is it safe to do the OP's page 1 mod on a 2012? all the posts seem to be based on 2010 since it's an older thread.

also, this mod is done all from the 1 harness?

I had this mod on my car for about 2 years. Worked perfectly, no problems whatsoever. In the end though, I replaced the entire foglight harness and installed a plug and play harness instead. I just never liked the fact that I had to hack up my factory wiring like that.

Sent from my abacus using precise finger movements......

How to make new connection for the DRL's Fog lights?

thank you for the wonderful idea for the fog lights bro , I think I ganna try this thing on my camaro ss. BTY, I have an issue regarding the DRL's light how to made an new wiring connection for the down fog light coz I have installed a ZL1 front bumper but I don't know how to make the wiring for the drl lights. furthermore, I bought the led light for it and it cames with two connection with resistors. please advice me how to make the connection with on/off switch. I will keep the upper fog light as it is with daylighting.

I also spliced into the halos for complete control. I put switches in the console to automatically activate the halos during the day and the DRL (fog) during the night. When the switches are off, everything is like stock.

I think you can click on the picture for a bigger view.
Great idea, too bad pics won't load. This way you could control DRL's independently from Halos.

I've been trying to work on something similar myself by adapting a plug and play harness (pic below), but am stuck on wire colors and current through each
wire. Anyone know the specs?
