Solo high flow cats
Anyone running these on their car? If so any CEL's pop up? Thinking about doing a pair of headers and tune, but if i can get a little more HP and better sound out of the HF cats i would prefer that considering there way cheaper.
thanks! |

I don't have any experience with those cats, but if you are getting a tune, that will prevent a case of the CEL's.

King II i pm'd you. No CEL's or tune required with the solo hfc's. I live in cali so headers was not an option. These were the next best thing. I ran just the solo hfc's, rotofab, and npp exhaust and my car dyno'd 522 rwhp. I was pretty damn impressed. Loved the sound that the solo's gave. Now i have the stainless works retro chambered cat back with the solo's and i love them even more. so many popping noises too.

I didn't have Solo's on mine, but I did have a set of Motiv Concepts high flow catted mids on my ZL1. They have an O2 extension like the Solo's do. No CEL after over a year with no tune. They sounded excellent with the stock NPP with fuse pulled. You'll probably get people telling you that you'll melt them but that seems overblown unless you plan on tracking the car.
