I know, I'm hoping that AltAuto sends over photos along the way. I'll definitely post as they come my way.

I appreciate the interest that is expressed for my car and its journey into its various stages. Rock on my C5 brethren.

The last I've heard is they are starting the tear down to prep for paint...

I've sent over an MGW shifter kit as I've read great things.

I'm still looking into the right rear diff route to go. I know you went the hammerhead route, Kronix, but aren't they still in prototype? Or are they selling them now? I've also looked at JREs rebuilt diff.

I'm also looking into which alum radiator would be best as well... I've been checking out Dewitt's.

I'm trying to make sure I've got all the right components for an accusump that is going to be installed, as good insurance for track days. I do not like starvation.

Luke, here's a great product

Rear End

Or you can get the Hammerhead through the Drive Shaft Shop, as a package with 1000 or 1400 HP axles & your choice of driveshaft. The Carbon Fiber driveshaft is light as hell, had to double check the box cause I thought it was empty. If you just want the rear itself, I may be able to get just that for you direct from the creator.

How much do you think for just the rear diff, since I have 1000HP axles and a new driveshaft? I see the Gforce is 5k just for the diff. Phew. Thanks for the link.

Unfortunately the rear end/diff has always been GM's thorn in it's side on these cars. You can use your pumpkin housing and rebuild it to strengthen it using an Eaton Detroit Truetrac & Pedders Differential bushing kit, that would be the most cost effective way to go. Probably around $4K for just the unit with choice of gears on the Hammerhead...You know speed ain't cheap

Truetrac

Yeah, very true, speed is not cheap. I was looking into The eaton truetrac, and I have BMR full pro kit bushings (thanks Pipe!). So maybe I'll pick up the truetrac, gears, have the guys install those and call it a day. What do you think?

I've also been looking into JRE's diff build out. It's about 2100 when all said and done. With the truetrac and 3.91 gears.

JRE Diff

I think that's the way to go, basically you can replicate the JRE one.
