I was thinking that you could go to a junk yard and get some shifter boots. Make a closed ended tube that will fit around the track and attach it to the seat frame. Might take a couple tries, but you'll get it.

hahahahahahaha..........

The person I was talking to the other day said it just seemed to stick out further than other cars he has seen. I have never had one that came with any kind of covers, but after looking at them (I had not really noticed it before this person said something) they do seem to stick out more than other cars that I have had. Especially the door side rail.

the problem is why should gm waste the money for a parts that is not necessary? the seat tracks pretty much sit on the floor. the only thing a cover would do is maybe go around the side and the front, but not the top.

yes vehicles that have a raised seat will usually have some sort of cover. thats just because the seat track isnt directly on the floor, its raised a bit so it to cover the gap.

This ^ but, get a matching floor mat and cut the rug to size, wrap it around and sew a piece of Velco on each side to secure it.

I've never seen any for Camaro. However I have taken many seats out of GM vehicles and they do exist in the other models (GM technician). Usually they don't cover much though, but they do a decent job of making the area look nicer. They are smaller plastic trim pieces that clip over the ends of all four corners of the rails. The back pieces use a round metal retainer clip that fits on the head of the seat bolt and holds the trim into place. Perhaps one of those set ups would be compatible and give you a little coverage. I've seen them on most everything newer from Cadillacs, buicks, trucks, and acadias.
Also don't know why all the fuss over a little dirt on the mats. I drive mine daily, have orange carpeting installed in it, and am a technician so I dance in ick all day long. My floor mats are far worse! XD and no I don't clean it everyday. Pft to tired and hungry to sit there and clean floor mats after work.

Who gives a shit if his floor mats are dirty.

ps I will ask my Buddy Tracy at Recovery Room Interiors for some suggestions.

Need to make some aluminum end caps for the rail, probably with a set screw to hold them in place, and a simple wire bracket to hold them on the seat itself.

Suggested it yesterday

Learn something new every day, I guess. The ones that completely cover the rail look good. That STS, might be the angle but isn't an improvement.

I have yet to notice the rails on any of my cars, only when I'm cleaning them
