Is your camaro a ricer magnet?
This is my first pony car but I had a couple of fast cars before, Im just trying to understand why this is happening all the time. Everyday, and I mean EVERYDAY when i take my car out of the garage and drive somewhere, at least once on my way, some douchebag tries to race me some of them really pushes my patience to the edge like slowing down in front of me or rolling their windows down to say some BS. I don't remember this happening so often as now when I had my other cars. How often are guys involved in situations like this?

I've had more ricers rev me at streetlights in my Sebring than my Camaro surprisingly. Granted I've got a V6 and only picked it up late October. I'm thinking this will change come Spring...

Every Day. Not only ricers but other people who all of a sudden want to be race car drivers. The thing that really gets me pi$$ed is the jerks in trucks and SUV`s that want to tailgate.

Everyday! Then they hear the mean ass growl, and put on their blinkers and get the hell out of the way. Usually with their passenger shaking their heads like "damn dude, you pissed him off".

It comes with the territory. They usually want to race in traffic when the speed limit is 45 mph (knowing there's no chance you'd race them even if you wanted to).
But I've noticed the more mods I get the less I get challenged. Put headers, full exhaust, and a nice lopey cam on your car and you'll notice how people start to leave you alone. In my stage 2 heads/cam, full bolt ons with Corsa Sport Exhaust + converter and drag radials 05 GTO, I rarely ever got challenged on the street. That car just sounded too mean. |

I havent had too many cars try and race me, but today a older guy in his upper 30s or lower 40s in a 99 to 03 mustang Gt Give me a nice car nod in the next lane, He also had his kid with me 9 or 10 years old in the front seat. Well when the light turns green he like guns it and screech tires a bit then races off. Im like WTF ur kid is in the car why would race on the street anyways.

I don't have any trouble form the ricers! All I got to do is rev my engine and they tuck there tail in between there legs. LOL Plus most of the rices have seen me run at the track and they know they don't have a chance.

My car seems to be a magnet of all sorts of undesirables. Even if I'm parked just sitting in the car
