Tick Remote Reservoir

Are you able to use the factory clutch hydraulic hose with a Tick’s mount? Doesn’t look like it will fit

What hose does everyone buy?

Epdm hose is what you need. I’m not sure if ticks kit comes with it, I got mine from ideal garage with their master reservoir years ago.
One foot should do but to be safe if you have to buy some I would get a couple feet with hose clamps.
The factory one may be long enough but where I mounted mine did not reach.

I had to modify a small bracket to attach to the Tick mount to make this work with Factory hose. I’ll leave it this way until I come up with a new solution.

Little disappointed the kit did not come with a epdm hose with the correct length. Does the cap for old reservoir need to be epdm?

Sorry to thread necro, but I wanted to point out that Tick is still not supplying a new hose, nor have they revised the bracket. Here's is my ugly, bent, cobbled together temporary solution until I either buy a new, longer hose - or find someone that can make an appropriate bracket to use the factory hose while mounted to the brake master (like several people have apparently done on the forum over the years... but I don't see anyone making them currently). Note: the stock hose is 10" long; likely need to be about 14" to work with the useless bracket Tick sends.

Tick makes great stuff, but their clutch reservoir kit is not one of those things. Look elsewhere when taking on this install. If anyone from Tick sees this (or my review I left on the site) - it's been like this for years now - just supply some hose or revise the bracket... or stop selling the kit.

I bought hose from Amazon. It is 18-24" long. Worked great.

Local BMW dealer will have the correct size EPDM hose sold in lengths. It is like a heavy cloth on the outside. McMaster-Carr is where I got the EPDM caps to block the port on the master cylinder reservoir when I was selling kits in the 2011-2012 time frame. Search "GTO remote clutch reservoir install kit".

I know where to get the hose - my point is it’s a rip off that it’s an incomplete kit when one can get a complete kit for the same price elsewhere. Further, no where does Tick say it doesn’t include the hose.
