When I lived in Darmstadt, West Germany in the 1980s, I owned a 1970 Mercedes 280S. I can honestly say that of the almost 80 cars I have owned, it was in the top three for quality of build. I loved that car. I was going to bring it home until a Turk hit me and totaled it. In almost 3 years, I didn't do anything but oil changes and a tune up.

I understand however, that the newer models are electrical nightmares. Not so sure I would own one now.

First GEN prices

In the future the fifth GEN will become just like 69 Camaro’s and the prices will match accordingly per rarity

I honestly do believe this. Well, it's wishful thinking at the least.

I just went now to the Kelly calculator. Low for my car was what I paid for it used 26 months ago. High value was 4K higher. It is interesting to know that should I decide to sell the car now that I would have driven it for free or better for the past 26 months.

I just ran mine at KBB and NADA. Retail at NADA is up almost $5K and trade-in value at KBB is up by almost $3K. And that's after putting 10K miles on the car since I bought it.

I'd like to trade up which was my plan this year anyway but there's not a lot to pick from right now here.

hmmmm, maybe it's a good time to sell? The big question is...is anyone actually buying?

Yeah, a 2014 2ss/rs with 19k miles for $19k? Unless the car was salvaged, that's a straight steal.

I paid 19 grand for my 2014 1LT with 40k miles on it, and it had an accident on the CarFax. Apparently a fender bender on the rear passenger panel. Body looked fine and it drove great, so I dismissed it.

Just looked up mine. 2011 2SS/RS 21,000 miles and it says private party $21,000 to $24,000. It did not even show synenergy green as a color option.

Damn that good money. Low mileage well cared for 1LE's will only continue to go up in value IMO.
