Is anybody else..
Having a hard time finding a helmet if you don't already have one? I know about the MTI special but, does anybody have any other sugesstions? If all else fails I will have to order the MTI helmet.
Thanks for the help. P.S. The people with helmets could you tell me where you got yours from, so I can narrow it down. Thanks.

Go to your local motorcycle dealership. Ask for the fulmer racecar helmet. Its used in drift car racing. Pretty cool lookin and only like $180.

I got mine from the MTI guys. They were good to deal with. I did do some looking around before I bought it though. SGMA general track rules say "an approved helmet" which for a race track would normally mean SA2005 (auto racing approved) which some motorcycle helmets meet both M2005 and SA2005 ratings but not all do. The admins could say for sure if SA2005 rating is required and whether it will be checked. The helmets MTI are selling are definitely SA20005.
Here is some links for you to look at if you want to get ideas. http://www.jegs.com/c/Safety-Equipme...72704/10002/-1 http://www.pitstopusa.com/SearchResu...ategoryID=7256 |

Bought mine from saferacer.com. HJC full face helmet. Little less than $100. Shipped to me in less than 2 days. I know we have to have the helmets for safety but I also know I have to drive my camaro back to Virginia. Going to have FUN on course but not stupid, not like there is a huge purse to cover repairs.........(jmho)

Just go to a motorcycle shop, they will have one. Tell them what exactly you are going to use it for and they will hook you up.
