For all them snorers..

Haha I'm so addicted to this website... Anyway.

I have an epic snoring problem. I tried the retainers and breathe-rite strips, which didn't help really. Breath-rite did sorta but not a whole ton..

Anyway, I walked in CVS yesterday and saw this big "Brez" thing. So I checked it out and they claimed to be "Clinically proven to reduce snoring".

Well at first I was like, oh right. Mhhm sure ya do.

But I bought them and tried em out lastnight. My brother said I didn't snore! Unreal!

But yeah, just thought I'd let anyone with a snoring issue know about these things. They're akward to put in your nose but hell I don't notice it while I sleep and if they stop me from snoring, why not?

I found them on amazon.com for a little cheaper than CVS too.

I snore loud enough to be heard from the parking lot where I live (im on the 3rd floor). discovered that I have sleep apnea, If you often wake up and feel like complete arse its worth getting a sleep study to find out if you have the same condition. My uncle passed in Feb due to sleep apnea.

sleep apnea can kill.

Temporary fixes only.

Go get your nasal noid's removed, tonsils, and uvula cut out. It's the only way....but be warned.....it is the most HORRIBLE PAIN you'll ever have known!

But I still have sleep apnea....so bad that during a surgery in 2005, I went in respitory failure and almost didn't come back.....No more normal anisthesia for me, it will shut me down (flatline). Also a current bi-pap user!

Thanks, I think I'll take my chances on dying quietly in my sleep.

Meh...if the apnea doesn't kill me, aspirating my reflux will. That is a really awful way to wake up. :(

There are also risks with that too. I served with a guy that had such sever sleep apnea that he had to get a custom air compressor for his CPAP machine. He needed +50 lbs of air, I only need 15 lbs. They did that surgery, and something went wrong. He went on leave and flew home and he started bleeding form his ears, nose and eyes mid flight. I forget what he said happened but, the end result is that he can't depressurize/equalize??? He cant fly any more because the change of altitude/air pressure...he says that the pain and pressure was unreal! true story the guy was a submariner, had to get out the service because the pressures change while submerged.

Sorry dude but I'll use the 12$ nasal dilator that I can get at CVS rather than get extremely painful surgery....
