ESS TUNING S/C vs ECS S/C

Just saw the ESS Tuning S/C on here, and wondering who has experience with this. Seems like a good unit for the price. Seems like they have different blowers available V3si, G2, G3, V7Ysi, G3x. Which blower is comparable to the 1500?

The novi 1500 is in the middle of vortech v3 and v7 for cfm output. V3 good to 700whp , novi 1500 good to 850whp , v7 good to 1300whp. Results may vary but that's there ballpark whp limits

Also thats not the only whp outputs the model will do. Depending on pully size you can control how much boost you will make. You can get a larger blower and run low boost then up the power later once you build the motor and upgrade your fuel system

I was looking at their G3x since it’s only 200$ more than the ECS kit with install. Plus it has the potential of reaching 1000+hp if I choose to build some more. I doubt I’ll get that high since there’ll be more mods that’ll be needed. Just looking to get the best bang for the buck.

So far the ESS kit with the V3 trim is 5460$. Or ECS kit with injectors is 6400$

G3X is pretty sweet for the money. Great for the 700-1000whp range. Mine shows no sign of trouble after about a year of punishment.

You could probably make more power with the YSi-B, but if you are after less than 1000whp, the G3X will save you the hassle of tapping the oil pan and sourcing an oil feed. It is self lubricated.

Do you know the difference between the G3X and the G3? I tried looking online, but nothing was said. I think I saw somewhere that the major difference was the billet wheel on the G3X. Other than that it’s the same.

The g3 can be spun to 55,000 rpm impeller speed and the g3x 75,000. You would have to email support@esstuning.com and ask for cfm flow. Im not sure.

I have an ESS kit, just waiting to install. Kits seems like it is really good quality. The intercooler is massive. Will post more of a review once I get it going.

Definitely interested in this conversation - I am looking strongly at the ESS kit over the ECS kit. It seems to be very well thought out and high quality, and the pricing is good as well.

Went with the v3si and 100mm pulley. Thinking I should be around 650ish with my mods and around 700whp with a cam. May upgrade blowers down the road after I beef up my suspension and drivetrain. Followed your threads... car makes great power!

I plan to make an install/review thread once I get my install going. I got a KILLER! deal from Jannetty on Black Friday.

The ESS kit is nicely engineered for sure. They started in the euro market with supercharger kits for BMW, Audi...
