Who has seen GODZILLA: MINUS ONE

well who else has seen GODZILLA: MINUS ONE? if you haven't.....just wanted to give a heads up/information you might want to know.

the plot of the movie is GODZILLA's ORIGIN STORY, which I knew, which is why I wanted to see it.....but its not an American made movie. It reminded me of watching a 50's style monster movie but the special effects are better, but truly not up to todays movie standards. AND if you don't mind watching a movie that has sub-titles you won't care....but I had no idea that the movie was TOTALLY in JAPANEESE!!. personally I HATE having the READ a movie....if I had known I wouldn't have seen it and I am totally surprised it was never mentioned in anything that I had read about the movie.

well considering its time frame is WW2 Japan.....I couldn't say seeing I wasn't there or even alive or there to verify the facts for myself. And the news coming out of japan at the time was a little sketchy......so you can draw your own conclusions,

I really liked the movie. For me I don't even notice the subtitles after 10 minutes of reading them. I thought the special effects were plenty good enough, especially for a Godzilla movie, hahaha, the old ones had the worst effects - dude in a lizard suit. The story was good, I liked that it was about Japanese men getting to do something actually heroic after participating in and surviving Japan's disastrous war. Plus, at the end of the movie, I got to nerd out when the heroes prepared and flew a late-war prototype airplane. Very cool.

Also, I liked the romantic story line, it was kinda predictable, but the involvement of the man, the woman and the adorable little orphan girl was pretty good.

Cannot be any worse than Godzilla vs Kong fights Mecha-Godzilla

then they say "what should we do now" - "I know"

Godzilla x Kong and we have Godzilla and Kong fight Mecha-Kong!

Loved it!! I don't normally like subtitles but I had no issue. It was better than the last couple.
There was no agenda. There were no little kids saving the day, it was adults, men, doing what needed to be done.

I would like to see a sequel but if it doesn't happen, this one can stand on its own.
