In terms of popularity? Sure I could see that. Functionality? There's a lot better shooters out there that take a lot more skill. Half-Life 2 for a good example, and all of the awesome mods people have done with that (counterstrike, day of defeat, etc). Let's just say this: i stopped playing COD and started doing some Halo: Reach multiplayer for a while. At the beginning of my Reach time, I was sucking it up. But I stuck with it and got used to blasting through shields and going for head shots and such. After a while some buddies wanted to play COD again, so I went back to that. They were confused as to why I was suddenly throwing people around like rag dolls.

I will be buying it so fast as well.... HAHA.. I don't know why they cant just give them for free. They make billions of the game sales anyways. Now they want to charge a monthly subscription for the next game that will be optional but still. It will give you better features and the ability to fight clan vs clan and set up matches that way.

Yes the new zombies map is in the regular zombie map section. It is called Call of the Dead I believe... You can play it online or offline. It is a pretty cool map, different thats for sure.

Downloaded the new maps last night. Here are my first impressions...

These maps feel huge. That is a good thing. But what I really noticed was this was the first time where you actually need a scope or acog (for the non run and gunners). A couple of times on Hazard I got snipped and all I could see was the muzzle flash from the other side of the map. I found myself trying to run from cover to cover and avoiding the open. (I have never done that in the last four COD games.)

I run iron sights on all my guns and last night I was considering a acog, but only had time to stay online long enough to play each map at least once. Good thing for the long weekend.

New maps are always fun due to the newness. I'm not sure how these maps will stack up after a week or so.

(Yes, I'm a Activision basher. Hopefully BF3 will be all that it appears to be and that was my last $15 to Activision, at least till they bring something new, really new, to the table.)

Isn't the new COD coming out in November? I don't wanna spend money on map packs...when a new game is on the way.

True. I know all my friends will download the new maps, so I don't have much choice if I want to play with them. :(
