1LE axles and hubs can be had at gmpartsdirect for $661.40 shipped! That's seems like a screamin deal if the axles are really better. The big question is, are they really different? I've been doing some searching and have found conflicting info, same as the SS axle w/ a larger outter CV... Same "fat" axle design as the ZL1 w/ regular CV's... Anyone know the truth? I wonder approxamately how much HP they can handle as compared to the stock axles, vs aftermarket. If they are worth a crap, they are an EXCELLENT deal!

The gears are not listed on gmpd with the given part number :( I wonder if they can even be ordered?

If the axles are indeed much better than the stock SS axles, and they gears can be ordered, I would probably buy everything (axles, hubs, gears) and install it all at once.

*EDIT* Just called my local dealer parts dept to order a ZL1 shifter assy, and also had them check that part number listed on the previous page for the gears. He said that part number didn't come up with anything. I told him it's for a 2013 car (right?), to which he replied they haven't done their update yet (?), and to try again in about a month.

How do the wheels work? The 1LE wears 20x10 on all four corners right? Are they unique rear 20x10s with a different offset or are the 20x11s with 285s mounted?

Thanks for your help gathering info! I'm excited about the possibilities of these factory "upgrades" for a fraction of the cost of aftermarket.

I really hope this drops the price of LPE's gears since they are made by the same company. Or at least I hope the companies that offer complete differential swaps will have an option to use the GM 3.91s.
