power steering failure

so I made 4 passes at the drag strip last night, then parked my car for a few minutes, when I got back in and started it I got an error message that said something like, "service power steering drive with caution" or "power steering malfunction drive with caution" or "warning power steering needs service drive with caution" anyways I cant remember exactly what it said but it wasn't working and cel was on, after sitting for a short time it started working again but I cant understand why it would do that, has this ever happened to anyone else on here?

Put my car on the Dyno just to see how much was at the wheels. Anyway, they parked it. When I started it up later my whole electrical system was not working including power steering, stabilitrak was lighting up, and a/c didn't come on, the fan did but not the cold.

On two other occasions I've gotten in the car and started it up and the a/c didn't work.

I'm not saying any or all of this is related or related to your problem. But what I did in all three cases was turn the car off, wait maybe 30 seconds if that, start if back up and everything seemed to start working again.

These cars have some strange little quirks about them. One seems to be certain systems quit working periodically and then return to normal. I have not had this happen (knock knock) but many here have. I have had a few warning/service lights come on and then go away upon restart. Weird...

I'd bring it to the dealer and have them look at it. It's more difficult to troubleshoot an electric power steering system compared to a hydraulic system.
