De-badge. I have a machined solid metal black bow tie on back.

Never liked the Camaro name. I thinks it looks cleaner without. I'm fine with the SS, bow ties, etc.

Do the side letters just "pop off"?

Interesting.
I was contemplating the 1st gen Camaro script. I'd like some type of "376" nose emblems like on my buddies 1968 SS/RS, but there's no spot. Not the best pic in terms of the current discussion, but only one I have with his & mine: |

I'm going to do a heritage grill with the white SS emblems like his car.

Do what you want with your badges. It's your car I am not going to ridicule you over what you do with the badges. Just don't put a 1LE or ZL1 or Z/28 on a bare bones LS base model and try to pass it off as such.
The guy who owned my car before me had 427 badges on it. He said, it's got 427 horsepower. First off, no. The manuals cars had 426. Secondly, mines any automatic it had 400 horsepower. They came off later than they should have, but false badging sucks. Debadge away OP. Enjoy your Camaro how you want to enjoy it!

Mine also. I might change out the front bowtie with an SS one.
To me and this is just me, when you de-badge one , it looks just like any other base Camaro. nothing to distinguish an SS or Z28 from a base model. It does look "cleaner" but then what? It could be an LT with SS kit or, Z28 kit or, so on and on.

How did a question about de-badging get so many comments about up-badging? Completely unrelated.

Nice Camaro. I think the 376 emblem would fit in front of the side marker. I have the small trunk SS emblems in that area on mine.

If everyone was the same friggin world it would be, if you want a cleaned up debading its up to you and he can go F himself ...LOL the deal is he may think oh he's embarrassed to be a v-6 ...or whatever ..... debadging is older than dirt to clean up appearance and I always thought myself they screwed up with tiny ss and rs badging....and I wanted old school and retro so what the hell....some tastes differ that's a fact jack... otherwise...why go to a car show they will just all be stock cars..............
Art is subjective and a-holes looking over your shoulder need a poke in the eye........
