Might be time to consider replacing the fronts. Seems like the OEM offerings come with the hat as well. Since they are 2 piece can't just the rotor piece itself be replaced and the hat re-used?

Is there a noticeable advantage to an aftermarket rotor? I do mostly street driving and 1 or 2 1/4 mile events (and 1 1/2 mile) a year.

My guess would be they would rather sell assembled and don't trust us to service them separately
