Haha . Yeah 100 psi is a lot . From your report , I think the spring it came with would be the right one ..

Bad cam bearings

So went to take out cam couple weeks ago and for some reason it was really tight in one of the middle bearing , had to give it alittle force to get it out , and yep cam bearing was alittle bunged up .

Took it to our local machine shop and got them done . Went with durabond ch25p. At first I thought they were installed incorrectly as holes weren’t at 4&7 o’clock , had to drive some research to find out once one oiling hole at 4oclock .

Also : my arp headstuds got pushed back to Jan 14

Got the cam installed , cam retaining plate , oil pump , new upper 3-bolt sprocket , Katech c5r chain . Added sac city oil pump hold down bolt for piece of mind .

Really like those align it tools for front and rear covers , makes things a breeze to install .

Parts shortages are a real issue right now- its going to get better.

A suggestion: use the extra time to powder coat things like your timing cover, oil pan, drive assembly, etc. Your engine compartment will look awesome.

Really hope so.
Hmmmm.. I thought about powder coating and dressing up the engine bay . Just was never my thing , was trying to keep it looking stock as much as possible .

I have other things that I can do like plumbing in the fore system , ice tank , cutting cross member and welding tabs to it . After that if I have time I’ll consider it .. Thank you sir

Anti venom mod ? Running mgw short throw

Was wondering if people are still doing the Anti venom mod ? Went ahead and ordered the mgw shifter to get this done before motor gets thrown in after my head studs arrive .

Was wondering guys running the mgw I’ve read it’s notchy and this mod helps smoothens it out alittle .. was thinking of running one washer ? Anyone running two? I’m sure two makes it feel more loose right ? Idk if I’d like that , one thing I’ve always likes a light aftermarket shifter is the positive engagement .

Thank. You for your opinion .

I’ve got mgw in both my Z28 and ZL1. I don’t have anti venom mod on either but the ZL1 does shift a little smoother than the Z28. I might try doing mod to Z28 just to see if it really works but I like how tight the mgw feels. If I wanted sloppy shifting, I’d stick with OEM shifter.

Got my clutch in today , so decided to install billet bearing support , new slave cylinder , tick remote resivior (which doesn’t come with a hose ) and mister remote speed bleeder .

I gotta say though I’m impressed with monsters work heck even the packaging is tops lol

You guys know what size stock line is for the clutch resivior , or any recommendation on where y’all got your hoses from would be appreciated . Thanks .

Nice Job, Results should be great, I just ordered the Remote reservoir and it said it came with the hose and pictures make it look like it does, I ordered mine From JDP.
Might be able to call them and get just the hose, As I am sure you know it has to be rated for Brake Fluid.
