So, are the Corsas R-compound too? I would guess yes because of the treadware, but not sure.

Was this a purpose built car just for this run or did it come right on the showroom? And I mean both cars. I don't want to start anything. I'm just not up on the cars that run there as far as where they come from and how they are prepped.

I do agree with some of the others. After seeing the viper in the flesh, the ZR1 looks a lot better.

Correct, I was saying both the ZR1 and Viper had the tires that came on the cars from the factory, in other words street legal tires, not racing tires like the Z06 had when it did its lap and was faster than the Viper but slower than the ZR1. Of course those were different days under different conditions. Hard to compare times really unless done on the same day back to back like they did with the ZR1 and Viper.

Biggest difference in the ZR1 in this test and the previous test is probably the Cup tires. Those didn't become standard until the 2012 MY if I remember correctly. And those are crazy sticky from what I understand.
They made a huge difference in the ZR1 and Z06 at the 'ring. So much so that they re ran both cars. Easily 2 second improvement. What MY was the last ZR1 at Laguna Seca?

According to Motortrends "Laguna lap" it was 2009.... doesn't seem right but I guess it could be.
