3.91 gear install

Thinking of going with 3.91's, what is required for the install and where is the best place to order from?

I've seen a number of different kits, not sure which to get.

I cant speak for everyone who had them installed, but I had mine done by GM.

A bit on the pricey side, but it came with a warranty.

You can't go wrong with genuine Chevrolet Performance Parts. They are engineered specifically for your Camaro. The 3.91 kit includes the cal for the speedo and preserves your factory warranty when installed by the dealer.

I would order the actual 1le gear from chevy. I believe they are actually cheaper than the ones Richmond and Lingenfelter offer.

It increases the effective rear-wheel torque multiplication, giving you faster acceleration.

Yes, but buying from the dealership and having them install it will preserve the warranty.

I was told book time to pull the rear, r&r ring and pinion, install rear was 14 hrs. I pulled the rear and installed the rear on my garage floor in 3.5 hrs and I had never done one before. Had a shop do the ring and pinion took them 4 hrs. I'd say a shop should be able to do the job in 5-6 hrs.
