I've got two installed on my catch can setup. From my understanding, you should only need these if you are boosted since the normal vacuum source (intake manifold), becomes pressurized. Then you need to use the intake for the supplemental vacuum source.
I am going to move to these when I redo the lines with real AN fittings. https://www.jegs.com/p/JEGS-Performa...73572/10002/-1

You need the checkvalves in all applications of doing the dual valve system to provide full time evacuation. Most all new engines now have them integrated into the PCV system, but the purpose is to allow the system to automatically default to the strongest of the 2 evacuation sources no matter what driving mode. They open and close to always default to the strongest vacuum source. And they only go in the outer fittings and always flow AWAY from the can.
For High Flow applications, we're just introducing our newest design, our High Flow Check Valves, part number CV-375. We have been testing these for about 6-months, and they will be listed on our website in a couple days. They work amazingly well. |
