1/8 mile track in Harrisburg, IL

For those of you that are interested, there is an 1/8 mile track located in Harrisburg, IL that is open every other Sunday. I have attached a link to the website here http://www.carsforkidsaccelaquarterraceway.com/.

They have recently poured a new concrete pad so the starting line is still a bit green but I ran there on 04-18-10 and managed a best of a 8.68 with a 2.25 60 foot time. Do not go expecting a lavish set up. They run on a low budget, meaning that the pit area and return road is gravel.

BLACKSS, check the website that I posted. The concrete has been put down and they have already ran on it once. The next race is scheduled for 05-16-10. I'll be there in my IOM with white stripes. I usually don't get there until about 1-1:30.

Here's the link to their site http://www.carsforkidsaccelaquarterraceway.com/,. The gates usually open pretty early but the racing does not really get going good until around noon and start the money races at about 1:30.

If you times question was in relation to whether or not they have timing equipment the answer is yes. They do not have any boards at the end of the track that shows the time but you get a time slip on your way back up the return road.

Mrray, have you gotten to the track anymore since I saw you at I57?

Nope, and after the last two days at work, there was no way I could call off today to go. I hope you had a good day!
