305/35/20 on 10 inch wheel

Hey guys, Well I am getting 3.73 gears put in in March at GPI and I want lighter wheels that are as near as I can get to stock diameter. I wanted to stay with 20s as I don't want to get to much smaller in the diameter and I already have new 245/45/20 tires up front.

So here is what I want to run, 305/35/20 General GMAX RS on TSW Nurburgring on a 20x10 wheel in the rear and then 20X9 wheel up front for the 245/45/20s and then when those wear out I will probably go to a wider tire up front.

General tire says they recommended wheel width is 10-12 inch wheel and 305 is a 28.4 diameter so it won't be a large difference from the front diameter at 28.7 and should work.

My only concern is a 10inch wide wheel enough for the 305 on the back and will it have any problems with over steer in anyway with that big of a difference between the 245 in front and 305 in the back for now?
Thanks

Yes, 305/35's will fit nicely on a 20x10 wheel. However, the 245/45's on a 20x9 might be stretching a little...9 is probably at the max wheel width. If your rear tires (assuming they are the stock 275/40's) are still in good shape, you could swap them onto the new 20x9's.

Just for conversation sake, I'm currently running 305/35's on 20x10's in the rear and 275/40 on 20x9's up front.

Unfortunately, I never tried driving with the stock fronts and the 305's, so I'm not sure if oversteer will be an issue at 25% difference in width.

It would increase understeer not oversteer. How much? Depends on the compound, tread, etc. I never really noticed a difference on the street. Maybe on a track?

Back when I had 10 inch wide rears I ran 315/35's for many years with no issues, and 275's on the front on 9 inch wheels. Here is a pic.
