1LE or C7 Z51 (used)
Just read through the article from C&D for the new Gen6 1LE. The numbers on this car are identical if not better than the C7 in Z51 trim for about if not less than what one of those go for used. I will say the new 1LE doesn't stand out too much visually from the normal SS like 14/15 did but if your budget is 45k right now...which one do you choose?

Get the C7 Z51 so there's more 1LE's out there for me to choose from.
Bang for buck, that 1LE is downright nasty. Like someone in the comment section mentioned it's the perfect "sweet spot" for performance for price. |

Why not a used C6 Z06? Or even a C6 Grand Sport for even a cheaper option?

I'm not sure what I'd pick at this point... a week or so ago I'd have said the Corvette no question, but after finally sitting in one, I have a lot more appreciation for the usable room in the Camaro. And being able to get a brand new car, optioned exactly as you want it, does count for something in my book.

Two different animals and it all comes down to personal preference in regards to looks, overall performance, handling and suitability (i.e. two versus '4' seats). Test drive them both and get the one you prefer.
Personally, since I'm not into racing these days, I'm sticking with my C6 with the Z51 package and my Gen 5 SS. This is mainly because I'm still not a fan of the new body stylings of either the Gen 6 or C7. Good luck in your decision, you can't go wrong no matter which one you choose ... they are both great vehicles IMO

C7... more because of the look than anything.

It's just hard NOT to like that 1LE. Forget about the 5th gen v 6th gen crappola, it's a great looking and performing car. I don't think I'm alone here but a Corvette and Camaro are simply two different tastes. The only way to solve this? Get both! Seriously, I think it's still quite a bit of apples and oranges. IMO, of course.

This is a tough question. It will basically boil down to which model one wants the most. Even with the performance numbers, one has to remember that there are clear distinctions between a Camaro and a Corvette. You can't buy a Camaro and expect it to do the things (including looks, persona, feel) that a Vette can do. Much of the same goes with buying a Vette. A vette has incredible performance, but if you're looking for muscle car looks, generous room for more than two adults, the feel of a powerful and sizeable muscle car, then you have to realize that Camaro may be better at that persona than a Vette.
Choose wisely, and good luck. Edit: One other thing, at a certain price point I almost always would choose a new car over used. This fact could narrow your choices. Good luck.
