It was a very good deal.

Cars.com is a great site: https://www.cars.com/for-sale/search...=GN_REFINEMENT.

Find another and don't hesitate next time! You won't regret it!

CARMAX salesmen are not commission based either. They are hourly based on the volume that they move across the curb.

I talked to them last night to see if a transfer fee to move the car closer to me was credited towards the cost if I bought the car, which it's not, bug worth a try. I just started to fill out their finance form just to see what my apr would be through them and I noticed they charge $2,250 for tax, title, and fees. That seems excessive to me. It'll have to be exactly what I want to swallow that. I want a 2013 IOM with the black spoke wheels, 1 owner, non smoker, no wrecks and under 10k miles.

Im not sure what your state sales tax is, but here in PA it is 6%, so on 40k we are paying $2400 in tax, plus title and dealer fees...So I don't think it is that far off.

CarMax has a IOM 2013 in Plano TX, not sure what transfer fees are to your location, but it looks like a nice car, with 9k miles, sunroof, suede, etc.. for 39,998..seems like a fair price...it doesn't have the black wheels, but you can always pick up a set later on and sell the polished ones...

Yeah, I saw that one. It looks good, but the 3 owner part kinda scares me. I think I'm going to hold out for a 1 owner completely stock car. If I'm going to spend 40k for a 4 year old used car, it's going to have to be exactly what I'm wanting.

I completely understand...Dont be in a hurry just to buy a car...buy something set up the way you would have ordered one, then you wont have any regrets...but if you do find one at a reasonable price ...pull the trigger...

I dont have any regrets buying mine... I couldnt have ordered one any better..

I agree and that's what I'm going to do. I'm still beating myself up for not getting the exact car I would have ordered that was literally right around the corner. I'm taking it as it just wasn't meant to be.

Yeah that does stink, that you missed out...But that car wasnt meant to be i guess..The way I looked at it when i was looking...If i didnt find one that "pulled" me even though it was a good price, I walked... I went to go look at one that had 492 miles on it..It was basically a brand new car..but it did pull me to get it, even though the price was VERY good at $ 41,700 for a car with under 500 miles, i just did have that gotta have it feeling so I let it go, and Im glad i did. The car I bought i am totally happy with, it has the right look, the right option, everything...so waiting, or missing out on one isnt a bad thing, it just means a better one is coming up...lol...People will be selling or trading them in more now that the 17 ZL1 is out and they will have to have the latest, so that leaves these 5th gens to us at a reduced price...

I don't know if you were specifically looking for IOM, but this 2012 looks decent:
