Not sure why everyone is making such a fuss about the wheel to fender gap on the new ZL1. The C7 ZO6 has pretty large gap as well. I think the front fender flares on the Z06 help to mask the gap to some extent.
I made a side by side photo comparison of my 5th and 6th gen ZL1s. Both at the stock ride height. Given the variables and caveats of comparing two different photos, I'd say the stance of the 6th gen matches up pretty well. Of course, I'm just a bit bias.

I did notice that on the c7 z06 as well. The fender gap is an issue that is easily fixable if it really bothers the owner that much.
