Arrow Have a Custom Painted Cold Air Inductions Inc. CAI? POST IT HERE!

If you have a CAI from Cold Air Inductions Inc., and you customized it by painting or powder coating it, we want to see it!

We get asked a lot if our CAI's can be custom painted/coated, so this will be a great way to show off your work and ideas with others who want to do the same!

Looking forward to seeing your pictures and creativity!

Looks great man!

Its hard to tell from the picture, but did you do a satin black or something different from the textured black option that we offer? Love the Carbon Fiber inspection window too, nice touch!

Your engine bay is so... gorgeous.

Do you have a build thread on how you did it all?

I had one of the original finish ones before you started making them in black and after 3 years I felt the finish was looking a little tired. I had just finished polishing my strut tower bar and really liked the results so I tried the same process on the CAI but it really did not shine up at all. So I decided I would take a crack at painting it. I think it came out pretty good and when I get tired of the look I can always paint it differently. I think I may also work on lighting it and do something on the plexi glass at some point.

Looks great! What is the red wrapping the perimeter of the lid, it looks like it goes right over the 1/4 turn fasteners, is that paint? Just curious.

Yes I had some IOM paint left over from a different project so I masked off the top leaving that stripe using the screws as a guide. I wanted the top to have a little pop of color.

Here's mine. It was originally the aluminum finish so I decided to paint the box black.
