Door Question
Ok so i love the idea of having a smooth sleek looking door. I am thinking about gitting rid of the door handles and having the doors open by the puch of a button. I dont know how this can work tho since everything is intergraded with the key. Im thinking the only way to do it is to get an aftermarket key fop but since the key fop for our new car is on the actual key i dont know if it will work. Any ideas if this can actually be done?

but i think it cud be done. as for the internals - replace the lock w/ a button switch to activate the lock motor (it wud be like pressing the button on your FOB, but hardwired inside the door) i'm not sure how much it would interfere with the security system tho

In high school I had a red civic si that I boosted and modded and what not...don't flame me! that was 5 years ago. ANYWAYS, I had shaved door handles as well, and I loved them. I personally never had a problem with them. But then again I'm not sure how different the insides are of the 5th gen compared to my 00' SI ,but im just gonna guess and say its MUCH different haha...So, my opinion says go for it. It will look amazing and if your turns out good, then I'll do it haha...here is a link of the kit I used. let me know what you think

I think you should weld the doors shut and just use the windows to get in and out of your car.
