And it would cost drivers even if they are driving the speed limit.

I hope this totally passes and is enforced. Just yesterday I had some grandpa doing 60(speed limit is 65) on the highway i come up behind him and he waves me to go around him.

I've been waiting for this for a while now, and can't wait until it's said and done.

I encounter the same problem....I get super mad road rage!!! I even do stupid stuff like tailgate the slow pokes and rev my engine till they move...I gotta quit doing that.
I've noticed other states are different. When I've driven through Oregon everyone is soooo nice! They get out of my way and even wave me by sometimes! But the second you cross back into California, ppl turn STUPID!!!!! There's a whole row of cars in the fast lane and NO BODY in the slow lane. I usually cruise at an acceptable freeway speed in the slow lane and curse all the fools to my left as they eat my dust.

no No NO. Absolutely not!

The left lane is the FAST lane, not the speed limit lane. I don't know about other states, but in Texas the signs say "SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT." The left lane is not for you to be the Barney Fife, citizens arrest, speed limit enforcer. You need to leave the speed limit enforcement to the LEOs. You never know when that guy behind you has a legitimate reason for exceeding the speed limit.

If you're driving 75 mph, and everyone else is driving 90 mph, you need to move your slow self over to the right lane!

I don't care if you're going 110 mph - if you look in the rear view mirror, and someone is closing on you, you need to move over. Of course most of the left-lane traffic cloggers are oblivious and never bother to check the rear view mirror.

Illinois has a law that allows Police to give tickets to those who linger in the left lane and impede the flow of traffic. There are still people who do this. Quite frustrating on the way to work in the morning.

And it's regardless of speed. So, if you are doing the speed limit and traffic is backed up behind you because of your dilly-dallying around, you can still get a ticket.

100% agree it isn't the lane in which the "do-gooders," can act as patrol officers and slow up the flow of traffic.

Here in the Chicago area, everyone drives 70-90 mph in a 55 zone. When I was in Denver recently, I couldn't believe how slow everyone drove. I was passing everyone doing 5-10 over the limit. Here in Chicagoland, you would get run over doing that.

Driving too slow CAN cause accidents on the freeway. There should be a max and a minimum speed limit. And please if youre gonna drive slow, MOVE TO THE RIGHT!!
