I need step by step instructions to replace passenger mirror

I need step by step instructions on replacing my passenger door mirror. I don't have a shop manual. My camaro is a 18 1SS. I hit something and broke the mirror off. Thank you for your replies.

Are you replacing the whole assembly or just the glass?

I was in your exact shoes when I got my '16. Passenger mirror replacement needed, I'll try to be as most help as I can.

First, watch Lethal's Video. You just need to familiarize yourself with how to remove the door/where all the clips are. I wouldn't be surprised if some of your clips get broken in the process, I bought 2 types of clips from O'Reilly's that fit practically perfect.

Once you've got the interior trim of the door taken off, disconnected as well if you want for an easier process. I would disconnect the mirror connector and push through the wiring so that the black portion that is holding it against the door is inside the door itself. You need to pry off the black gasket and clear tape (some people cut through theirs, I just pried it off and reinstalled afterward). Reference these pictures for the location of the gasket/clear tape and the mirror connection.

There are 3 nuts holding the mirror assembly in place once the gasket and clear tape is taken off, what I did and another user suggested on this thread was to have an extension along with a sturdy piece of paper rolled up underneath the extension bit so that the nuts don't fall in the door.

When you have all 3 nuts off, you can pull the mirror assembly completely off. If you have a new mirror assembly then it's as simple as putting that in and pushing the wire through/connecting the wire. If you're trying to open up the mirror for small parts replacement, I took a picture of my broken mirror that I left open Opened Mirror.

Let me know if you need help or any questions
