you had the same warnings and codes? did the alternator test bad? or it tested good but was replaced anyway?

A week or so ago, I had a similar issue and posted in the other section of this forum. Stabilitrak, steering, etc, warnings. Steering actually went to a partially powered state.

I was in a hurry to get to work, so I just dropped it off at the local dealership. They kept it a couple days. Checked the battery and connections, new BCM software load. Still couldn't isolate it. They did eventually clear it. But never determined cause. No charge even though it's out of warranty by a few thousand miles. My guess is that there's a TSB or something and maybe no root cause determination. Otherwise, I think they'd have charged me. There seem to be a bunch of these if you go thru the threads. Here's mine http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=499942

Yes the alternator tested bad, but still didn't fix the issue. We have since replace the PCM, ran a 4 gauge ground from tbe battery to the block, built a whole new wiring harness for the steering and many other things and still having the electric steering going out.

Start with the simplest explanation first. Your old mechanic friend may not be too far off. Some Stabiltrack issues are caused by low voltage issues. Check your battery at rest prior to starting the car to see if your starting voltage after an overnight sit is at least 12.5+ volts. If it's lower, even around 12.3 or less, you're battery may not be good any longer.

If that doesn't pan out, find the sensor locations and trace back the wiring to make sure it's all good. If that pans out, check your grounds. I know this shit is a PITA, but start simple. If you can clear the CEL, and clear the embedded codes from history, then see if it comes back..

If the car has been sitting for a couple of weeks it is possible some rodents have chewed through wires somewhere.

I'm currently having the same problem, I have a stock 2013 1LE and both the Service Power Steering and Service Stabilitrak warnings are coming up. I replaced the steering angle sensor but it seemed to have just made it consistently stay on. The codes that I'm getting are similar: U0125, U0126, U2100

Angry

Don't you just hate it when the OP never follows up with the fix. Read the whole thread and then....

The job I have entails a lot of diagnostics and that is rule # 1. Check the easy stuff first.

Right? Someone else will eventually have that issue. Looks like he did get his answer and bail. No posts in a year.

We are working on a 13 SS that has the same problem. Ive got no comm to the steering angle sensor nor the multi axis accel module. Everything else in the car communicates but those two. We can't find any wiring issues at all. We reflashed the bcm and the brake control module, nothing. All connections we've inspected thus far look fine. Abs, bcm, axis module, and steering angle sensor which we replaced right out the gate.
U0073:00 Comm bus A off
Any ideas?
