I do. I took my firebird there and my Camaro (after the year's worth of free oil changes provided by the dealer) too.

I've taken it to the same store and have always found their service to be good and reliable. Plus I think the J.L. home office sends their guys to charm school. Some of the men I've dated could learn about courtesy and manners from the J.L guys!

Let's see. It's been 5 years since I got laid off from my previous job. In that position I was assigned a company vehicle. We were only given a few choices on where we could take our fleet vehicles for oil changes. One was JiffyLube. So, one day I stopped there with the company vehicle on the way home. After the oil change they informed me that they had tested my radiator cap and that it would only hold 0 lbs pressure. The car had never overheated and still had plenty of antifreeze in the overflow bottle. So, I told them to forget about it. A few days later I happened to get into my wife's car and noticed that it was due for an oil change. So, I took it to the JiffyLube close to our home (a different JL). After the oil change they informed me that they had tested the radiator cap and that it would not hold any pressure. Again, I told them to leave it alone. I never had any problems with loss of antifreeze in that car.

My wife now drives an almost new Subaru. I took it in for an oil change today. They told me I needed a radiator cap! I detect a scam here. Guess what folks? I've never going to a Jiffy Lube again. And I'm spreading the word.

I'd have been sooo tempted to say something like "It's been 5 years and you still don't have that tester fixed?"

Happy New Year, all

I am an "old fart" at 68, nothing is more beautiful than a fine car! I have owned some hot cars, starting with a 1966 cougar, (back in 1965), then a 1966 GTO rag top, a 1969 Boss 302, a 68 vette 427 stingray convertible (British racing green) and a silver 63 split window, a 71 stingray and the list goes on, never kept a car more than a year, I always saw a must have. today it is a 1996 Nissan 300zx twin turbo that I rebuilt as close to OEM as I could and a shiny new 2013 ss/2ss black convertible, loaded and a show winner with the "extras" I have added. All I can say about us old farts is, age does not mean old when cars are involved, unlike the Misses, they never complain, they are ready for a "jump" 24/7 and never complain of the "ride" being to short, to long or to rough, they just hum right along.

I have more than done my time dealing with this type of stuff. Let some of the young ones do it this time.
Let's hope that the new year gets off on a somewhat calmer start for you, Jan. Sounds like you and my (4 years younger) sister could share a few war stories - she's a teaching assistant of some sort and somehow ended up with a special ed class up in Massachusetts.

Thanks Norm. The new year will hold a lot of change for my job none of it good. I will be looking to pay off our cars in the next 2 years & either change jobs or go to part time until I can retire in about 6 years.

Welcome aboard. Sounds like you have a lot of fun with cars. You will fit right in here.

Happy New Year all I took advantage of my very long weekend to work on some winter Camaro mods. I finshed painting and polishing my strut tower bar today. I tried polishing my CAI intake but that did not really polish up any different than it looked before I started. The strut bar cleaned up nicely however. Too cold in the garage to put it back on I will wait for a warmer day.
